Actually I think the final authority on faith and morals for myself would be me. We each individually can choose what is moral and in what to have faith.
Personally I have faith that God knows a great deal more than I do about everything, so I choose to defer to Him.
I believe the Bible is an inspired record written by prophets of God, so it's an important resource as well. We must still interpret its teachings, so I get help from God through prayer, through my own study, through living prophets,...

Not the bible they have today. If it is why is there innumerable christian religions. Because they are all confused. Why because king Constantine changed the original Bible. In 325 Ad Constantine had all original New Testaments burned and Put together what we call the Bible today. He omitted much of Jesuses life and took out anything to do with Karma, Reincarnation, and Vegetarianism and he made hell a place to go eternally. He added Paul's teachings who never even met Jesuse and who advocated slavery and animal slaughter. Krishna says in the Bhagavad Gita-(Song of God) Whenever their is a decline in religious principles, and the truth appears to be lost, I appear again and again or send my representative to reestablish the truth. There are many scriptures for different times places and circumstances given by God, but Man puts his filthy hands on them and changes them for his own idea. The Truth can no be changed but it appears it is due to changing the books and through their presentations of it. Though the truth is always available to the sincere seeker of it. For the original New testament google gospelofthenazirenes.com the truth will set you free. Also Read Bhagavad Gita As it is By Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada- asitis.com Read on line. Has much more information of God and the soul than any other scripture. Answer to your question No.

certainty is. God is all certainty. particular books in the bible (this is a compilation) testify to the falsity of particular issues in different books in the same bible. Taking parables, and allegories as literal, is one one the large no-nos Christ reported, yet human beings do it each and all of the time. The greater issues Christ reported, that He could tell later while human beings have been waiting, are already attainable in different books and compilations. there is not any end to God's revelation(s). God bless.

The bible is the final authority in all matters of faith and righteousness. Morality is not righteousness. Morals are based on what is acceptable to a particular culture. Morals change. The characterization of righteousness is based on the attribute of the rightness or justice of God, who never changes.

Nope. If it were, we'd still have slaves, stonings, etc. There's plenty of nasties advocated by the bible for dumb things. The passage in the OT about homosexuality... Has any Christian actually read the verses around it?? It's all cherry-picked.

The Bible isn't even the start of morals. Religion actually is a poor predictor of a person's morality. And the morality pushed by the Bible is a fairly sorry one. There are some nasty ideas it promotes.
And people have had wishful thinking for far longer than the Bible has been around. Faith is not limited to religious superstitions.

NO. the Catholic Church has the authority to interpret the Bible. The Bible is not the sole authority in Catholicsim, but also Sacred Tradition and Sacred Magesterium (teaching authority of the Pope and bishops)
"in case I'm delayed. I want you to know how people who are members of God's family must live. God's family is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth." 1 Tim. 3:15

Examine it with an open mind and come to your conclusions. In my experience the Bible verifies itself among other things through prophecy.
