I'm going to Bethany Beach (15 miles north of OC) in the next 2 weeks. Love stream fishing. Would surf fish, if encouraged or had a great place. Not interested in Charter fishing. Any help?

You don't state whether you are a Delaware resident or not. My assumption is that you are not. If you want to do any stream fishing you are going to need a license. An out of state license runs $15 for the year or $5.20 per week. A trout stamp will run $6.20 for someone out of state.

Your better bet may be heading to the surf given your location. Here are some basic tips for surf fishing off the Delaware coast. http://www.oysterbaytackle.com/fishtips.asp

On the southern side of the mouth of the Delaware River, opposite of Cape May, New Jersey. Striped Bass, Bluefish, Weakfish, Summer Flounders and more, all from the surf.
