First off your asking a Nissan Forum about a GM plastic bodied car that is 7 years old already. Maintence is the key to car longevity not just your time with the car previous owners care too. Most cars these days make 10 years or more with regular care. Excelent care lot's of parts many 1995 thru 2003 Nissan Maximas are going 400,000 miles on one engine. Saturn Cars are not bolted up as good as a Nissan.

I don't know but over the years I've spent a lot of time working with my mechanic friend. Here's what I learned....change oil often, I perfer every 4-5K miles...this will keep the inside of the engine clean. Flush the cooling system and put fresh coolant in about every 1-2 years. Replace tranny fuild about every 30-40k miles.

Saturns have a pretty good reliability record, so it will last as long as you make it last.
