Hubby left for basic and i've been hearing mos and didnt know what it meant.

An MOS is Military Occupational Specialty. This is what job he will be doing during his time in the military. He will get plenty of training for it, between a months and a year long.

MOS in civilian terms means occupation. What's your MOS (occupation) Mines was 92A thats a supply specialist.

An M.O.S. is a "Military Occupational Specialty", such as clerk-typist, truck driver, machine gunner, or what have you. It is your job in the military.
