DO RESEARCH FIRST- THIS IS NOT TRUE!!!
This is not meant to imply that the Bucks is a good company or anything, but this idea is based on an urban legend!
http://www.snopes.com/politics/military/starbucks.asp reports that this is FALSE, as it was back in 2004 when it first appeared.
Research before urging others to take action.

I don't believe it. For one, that would be bad for business to say out right to a US Troop that our company doesnt support you. But I do believe that they may not want to be in any way tied to the war. And, it would take a lot of money to supply the war effort with coffee. Have you been to many other bases? Many have Starbucks on them. So, it wouldnt be a true statement for them to say they don't support the troops. They do. Daily. And thier families by offering jobs to them.
Ask your family to send you gourmet coffee. Or order it online. But when a company denies sending you a free supply think twice about encouraging the world to boycot.

Someone brought an email about that to my VFW post a year or two ago and I ended up contacting Starbucks about it. It's not true. I just did a search on Starbucks and here is what I found on their website.
"Starbucks Support of the U.S. military:
More than three years ago a single e-mail erroneously accused Starbucks of not supporting the U.S. military personnel. The private e-mail began to circulate widely online. In a subsequent e0mail, the author apologized for the earlier misstatement and retracted it. Despite this, the original, inaccurate e-mail has continued to circulate, and customers frequently ask about it. We assure them that this online rumor is absolutely false.
Starbucks and our partners have consistently demonstrated support of U.S. military personnel in a number of ways. We were honored to receive a 2006 Freedom Award from the Department of Defense. For specific information about the Freedom Award and out ongoing efforts with the American Red Cross to support U.S. military personnel, please visit Starbucks.com."

Kinda strange, considering there are Starbucks on US military installations. I've been to some. They are franchised by the Army-Air Force Exchange Service

Sounds good. I don't like Starbucks coffee anyway.
Was there anything about that in the media? If there was I missed it.
Not everyone supports the war(me for one) but we sure should support our troops.

I don't support the war at all, but I DO support our brave and selfless troops, dying for a people who have no capacity to understand their sacrifice. Besides, I WOULD NEVER drink a 600-calorie cup of coffee! 7-11 has the best coffee in America!

I beieive every word of it .Starbucks opened a shop in the VA hospital in Phadelphia. I don't know if the shop is still open , and I also know how many veterans can afford $3.00 for a cup of coffee. Very few.

Do yourself and everyone else a favor: go to SNOPES.COM and do some reading before spreading malicious lies.
You don't have to like Starbucks, but it's not cool running around spreading this stuff......

I never wrote a company asking them for something free. Where do they get off doing that?
Maybe they don't support the war like 70% of America or better!
I would love to see this in writing. I like to make sure allegations equal what the messenger says!
Most Repubs don't support the troops either! They support corporate welfare!
