I have to agree with Hopeful and I hesitated in answering this because I realize it is meant to be clever, although it becomes more bothersome everytime I see this "question" as it appears periodically.
While I realize you mean no harm and are trying to be entertaining, please realize that the question is more serious than you may think. Given that I work with folks with DID for whom this is an actual issue, I can speak from experience that it is not uncommon for one or more parts to have homocidal thoughts and actions toward another part and I work very hard to get each part to realize that they share a body and harm to the body affects all parts. Because there is a firmly held belief in the literal separateness of one alter from another, attempts at internal homocide are far too common and not funny at all. The particular "no suicide" contracts that I write and negotiate with these folks are very serious and actually spell out and address the issue of harm to other parts.
The question may seem clever and amusing at first glance, but please understand that there are serious situations with very real consequences. Besides, the "joke" isn't so clever after seeing it posted repeatedly every month or so-let's retire it, if you don't mind?

There is a joke section in Yahoo! Answers.
I find it very sad that you laugh at the expense of others!!! Suicide is never funny even among people with "multiple personalities" as you say!!!! First off it used to be called MPD (Multiple Personality Disorder). It is now called DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder) and it is nothing to joke about. There is already such a stigma against us that are diagnosed with this as along with other mental illnesses but because of how the media and some movies have portrayed this it has not helped the publics view. This is a very serious matter because people who suffer from DID have "alters", "parts", "insiders".....there are many different names that they have that until they have enough co-consciousness it can be a constant struggle to not self harm or suicide because although the host (if one exist) may not want to, someone on the inside may be very persistent. Knowledge is power....you can always go to google search and get educated on DID. Perhaps you can help someone out some day.
I have noticed that some have said lmao or it is funny.... suicide or anything of the kind is never a joke nor funny! Suicide should be taken seriously in any situation. This is no different and is inappropriate in this section

Tricky question here.
The threat of suicide by one is also a threat to all, and they know that and will often fight the personality doing the act.
