This question will baffle me for the rest of my life. I mean, I get along with most Jews / Israeli's that I meet, so if the people can get along together why can't the two countries?

Can I give you an honest answer my friend?
I can sum it up in one word: Syria
As long as Syria desires to control and manipulate Lebanon and as long as Lebanon is capable of being manipulated due to its factional infighting their will be problems.
I would bet that most Israelis and Lebanese would get along with each other great, and if peace was ever made they would be the strongest of allies.
but as long as that 10% of Hezboulah nuts are permited to run wild in south Lebanon their will be strife.
May such problems quickly be in the past.

I believe the reason we can't get along is Hizbullah. Israelis and Israel itself have no problems with Lebanon and the Lebanese people, except for Hizbullah who carries out terrorist attacks on us.
