From Maine to New Jersey. Maine is by far the best location. Around Portland Maine, then as you go south into Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Montauk, Long Island New York. The Maine Lobster is world renown for its taste and texture compared to French champagne on the culinary circuit. Once in a while you may catch Lobsters from the shoreline, it's rare but it does happen. Yet, a vast majority, 99.9999% are caught from Lobster boats.

There are multiple kinds of lobsters. My favorites are Australian lobster tail, California lobster tail and then Maine or New England lobster.
My favorite would be to take my boat and BBQ to San Clemente Island off the coast of California and have California lobster tail and abalone on the BBQ.
Don't forget the butter, lemon and salt.
