just a note: I like the beach and casinos but I'm open to many more suggestions including off the beaten path

I went to Cancun alone when i was 20. I got an all-inclusive package that included airfare, ride to and from airport to resort, 3 meals everyday (the food was great), They had two pools, was right on the beach, had activities to do and alcohol was free also. Every night they had a show to watch or gathering for guests to mingle. And they also had a bus take a group of guests to a different club everyday. I met people and it was very fun.

If u like beach+casino,the best place must be Malaysia!Best casino in Asia(at Genting) and many many beautiful beaches,you can even take an adventure into the biggest rainforest reserve in the world at North Borneo-Sabah,which's also part of Malaysia.Its Sipadan island is also voted as the best diving paradise in the world in one tourism magazine few years ago.

How about Central FL? They've got a bit of everything except cold weather and mountains. LOL Lots of nice beaches, theme parks, and hiking trails. There is the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Tampa, Ybor City clubs, etc.

For beach and casino, Atlantic City is a good match. For casinoes, with a variety of choices and the option of many different types of side trips (Hoover Dam, Grand Canyon, etc) , I doubt you can top Las Vegas.

Great question! If I was by myself on a vacation, I would want to do something monumental...see something I've always wanted to see. The eiffel tower maybe. New York City. Vegas. Disney World is so much fun. California wine country. Talk to a travel agent! People vacation alone all the time. I wish I were in your shoes.

I think Las Vegas is lots of fun. Vegas is not exactly off the beaten path and it's not a beach but it's lots of fun

I just want to tell you that I've also been to Cancun and it's wonderful. I think that it would be a great choice. Everyone that I encountered seemed to be on the same page, which was to come and have fun. People are extra friendly and you would make friends in no time, if you choose.There is so much to do and be a part of. I hope you go.......
