So I work with this guy and I think he's great. He seems nice and shy just like me. But, I don't know how to talk to him. I can't just go up to him, or pass a note, I need help. Plus I don't know if he has a girlfriend or not. What should I do? She I just let him go, or how do I go about talking to him and getting to know him. I'm really attracted to him! Help please! I'm not some stupid teen either that needs stupid advice. So please be honest.

I do not have email yet. We work in the same department. I cannot email him because I don't know his email and I don't have one at work. I know we're both shy but I need some help.

Quit acting like a kid and approach him - - ask him what he likes to do for fun. He'll tell you and you'll have the opportunity to say, "lets do that together some time." If he doesn't bite, then forget him. I suspect however, he'll make a date.

You need to start up a conversation with him or this could go on forever since you're both shy.Someone needs to make the first move and it may as well be you.
Don't pass a note. That's what little kids do.You need to talk face to face.Since you work together you could start off by talking about work and let the conversation carry on from there.
It'll be easy after the first time.Ask him to go out for coffee or to lunch after you initiate the first conversation and see what happens. If he has a girlfriend he'll tell you.If not, you're in luck.
Be strong girl and go for it.Good Luck.

I know how you feel because I'm shy too, and something similar to this happened to me with a classmate, I felt I couldnt do anythig about it, and now he's gone and i prob wont see him ever again. I think you should take a chance and approach him, talk to him about simple things, until you both feel comfortable with each other, if he's really as nice and shy as you say, he'll understand. and even if you're dying of embarrassement and nerves inside, smile and keep talking. :D

Well, its normal for girls to be shy in alot of things but in this case u need to be brave.if u want to pass a note, why not write a letter to him and put it in an envolop and put it on his desk as u said his working wit u.If ur not working in the office, why not try putting into his bag or infront of where he always is.Tell him how u feel

Stop being shy. You're never gonna know unless you talk to him. Talk about work, talk about the weekend, talk about the funny movie you saw.... whatever, just talk and feel the vibe if he's interested or not. If you are both shy people you should be able to understand him and his body language.

just go up to him and ask if he has a girlfriend and if he says no ask if he would like to hang out on your lunch break. since you both are shy, someone has to do it and you never know, he might be crushing on you too... =]

Sit with him at lunch, or just drop something in front of him and let the conversation begin

Ask him a question about work. If that goes well, next day tell him thanks for his help. If that goes well ask him what he is doing for lunch. You don't have to be bold and aggressive, just little steps. Should it not work out, you have not embarrassed yourself.

I know this might sound silly... but, spill or drop something at his feet on "accident" that should break the initial ice for you. then your on your own, your gonna have to man up on this one .. anything worth having is worth working for... good luck
