if you told me both, then you are breaking the first commandment:
"You shall not take other gods before Me"

Matthew 19:17
.... Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

John 8:42
Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.

"My God! my God! why haven't you forsaken me!?"

And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:

It's truly a shame to see someone read the Bible only to misuse it. Christians understand the trinity, (ie... father, son, and Holy Spirit) as a three in one concept. Worshipping God is the same as worshipping Jesus and the Holy Spirit, the three things cannot be seperated no matter how hard you want to try. Don't pretend that all of us Christians fell off the turnip truck yesterday. Are you so naive to think we haven't studied the Bible as well, or haven't heard that sorry excuse for a question before? You don't have to believe, but do you really think your question serves any purpose that is constructive, especially when it is so easy to demonstrate the innate flaw in it's content?

I worship The One True and Unique God - Allah - He has no parents no offsprings.... He is High above such an attribute. Considering someone to be His son is equivalent to associating partners with Him in worship. I don`t do that as it does not make sense to me. Humans have families and kids.... God has creatures and worshippers/servants.Humans need families and kids.... God is High above ANY need what so ever. There is NO likeness what so ever between God and anything else in this world or beyond it. This is my belief in my God, my Creator and the Creator of everyone else who reads this answer or does not read it.
I testify that Jesus is the servant and Messenger of God - Allah just like Adam, Moses, Abraham, Joseph, Muhammad and all the others.
As for trinity, those who say that Jesus can be son and God at the same time, just like I can be mother and daughter at the same time, someone would say a rock can be a rock and a god at the same time, and another one would say a fire can be fire and god at the same time ..... then basically whatever you worship, you consider it god. I consider this to be NOT believing in ONE God, when you worship Jesus alongwith God, you are not practising "God your Lord is One".... you are practicing "god your lord can be like creatures having kids ".... not only are you associating partners with Him, you are dividing His Godhead into many parts (or three part) ..... if you don`t believe that God is Capable of being Alone as The King of this universe, or He IS NOT the Alone God .... you are saying ... god my lord is not one he has partners in his godhead !!!!
Btw if Jesus is god then why was he created ? why was he born.... shouldn`t God be High above such an attribute of being created and born ?
If god was to come on this earth in the form of man, then whats the whole point of the purpose of creation ?
Please my dear christian fellow humans..... rise a little above that and above that empire of angels and prophets you will see a One, Single and Unique God ..... who is The Only King of this universe, who is The Only Creator and The Only God.

I realize that many 'christians' view, see and think of Jesus as "God"; however there isn't anything written in The Bible that would indicate this. Certainly he never referred to anything other than what he patently appeared to be--a son of man. He never referred to himself as "christ" either.

Yes, I realize that they do this because they think, feel and believe that they must as he was 'the only begotten' of 'the Father'. However, if the original words were studied, they would find that this is NOT necessarily the only nor the most correct translation.

How does one "worships", and/or how they know whether their "worshipping" is fulfilling "the requirement".

Who sets or establishes this "requirement"?

When does one decide or know when you have "worshipped" enough--or not?

Do you (and others) realize that the word "worship" as we have come to know it, came from the Greek word
PROSKUNEO. Literally translated in today's language it means "to kiss a-s." In more sensitive language it would mean to "fawn over someone" that you see as your boss or master.

So, is this what we believe we are actually to do when it comes to Jesus or God?

How is it that we believe that Jesus, God, Christ or any member of the "god hierarchy" (note: remember in Gen it speaks of 'godS', needs US to "worship" them?

If they (the gods) are SO much more evolved/advanced than us; let's say that they are to us as a slug is to us; then why (in Gods name--grin) would one wish to have a bunch of slugs "worshipping and praising" us for all eternity!?!?!?!?

I believe that the Matt 19 scripture you quote is exactly what Jesus was attempting to convey.

A "god" that is "fawned over" or "woshipped" in the place of "the real god" can be anything.

Regards,

Jesus and God are the same. God even commanded the angels to worship Jesus.
Hebrews 1:1-4.
1In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, 2but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe. 3The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the EXACT representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. 4So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs.

One stable verse from John merits yet another == John a million:a million in the beginning up grow to be the interest, and the interest grow to be with God and the interest grow to be God. i'm no longer in the temper to argue, yet are you a JW or do you in basic terms no longer understand the Trinity?

Both and no I am not breaking the first commandment. God, the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit are all God. These three are one.

The Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are GOD. The Holy Trinity clearly shows that God is united and perfect for eternity.

"I and the Father are One..", "who ever has seen me has seen the father....", etc.
