hi i had a question i am 18 yrs old and i have 2 herniated disc right below each other i went to therapy and everything i had this about 2 years and i am having surgery next monday i am scard that after surgery my disc wont be the same have any of you have surgery and how long is the recovery. I am going to have it done in boston with dr. roth any advice thanks

My neighbor had back surgery a little over a year ago and went tobogganing this past winter and he is over 40 years old!! I hope that makes you feel better, every individual is different but in this day and age, medicine can work wonders!! Follow the doctor's orders!!

At this point all you can do is trust your Doctor and Parents to help you make a good decision on this. It sounds like you tried other treatments that didn't fix the problem. Look on line and see the link below.
