If Jesus chooses the person, and he doesn't choose everyone, then he is being discriminatory. Kinda un-Christian. If the person chooses to follow Jesus, that is a little better, but you still have to question the motives. Is it in order to be saved? To be in the in-group instead of the out-group? To go to heaven?

that is one of the most disagreed upon points among Christians. The good thing is Jesus calls christians to unity, not uniformity. So, while Calvinists and Arminians will argue this one till the cows come home, we still love the same savior Jesus Christ.
I lean more toward Calvinism, but not hyper-Calvinism.
God's wish is that all would be saved, but unless you accept Jesus and believe he died for you, you cannot enter into eternal life with God. You will still exist, you will just wish you didnt.

Jesus wasn't a Christian. He was a Jew. He was born a Jew, and he died a Jew. He would have had no idea what a "Christian lifestyle" is. For instance, what Christians call the Last Supper, Jesus (if he existed) celebrated as a Seder.

The answer is Yes.

To qualify that, I believe in the doctrine of prevenient grace. That is, no sinner is even capable of desiring to know God except through the initial influence of the Holy Spirit upon the heart.
"No man can come to Me (Jesus) unless the Father who sent Me draws him."
John 6:44

Nevertheless, a response is required.
