Here's her comment. I copied it from my myspace messages

"regardless, humanity it's self must strive day by day and believe in something or some one to seek comfort that they are not alone in this world"

My analyzation

She's not comfortable enough for JUST ONLY man protecting her. This universe is just too big and mysterious to just depend on man alone. So she finds comfort in her imaginary friend.

She's assuming that everyone else have to share her fears. SHE IS SOOOO WRONG about Atheists

i've seen a lot of people like her with that mindset.
they would honestly think it's better to believe in SOMETHING, even the FSM, than nothing.
it's just a basic "i'm insecure, i want everyone else to share my insecurity."

Why the hell should she be comfortable with "just only man protecting her"? What kind of sexist diatribe is that?! There's something wrong with a woman who would rather seek to find comfort in a Diety (or an imaginary friend) than man?

Sexist Jac-Kass. You are what's wrong with men. It's people like you that give atheists bad names!

My analyzation?

She just needs comfort--that she's not just another animal, but rather a special being with a special purpose.

Talk to another person, and they might say that life without rewards/consequences at the end of the road is pointless.

Talk to another still, and they might say that so many people believe and have done so for thousands of years, so why not believe?

Another person might simply be unable to fathom life starting on its own, without a creator.

People are motivated by different reasons to believe.

She looks at the universe and recognizes that it is not a random accident. She looks at us creatures and recognizes the Spirit of God within each of us (even you). She sees a truth that you turn away from.

I would say that you are too insecure to admit that there is a Higher Power that you can't control and answers that you will never know. Otherwise, you wouldn't try to make yourself your god. That was attempted before and it didn't work out too well. ;-)

Just as she assumed that atheists share her fears, you are not right to assume that we Christians share her fears.

Yep. She is too afraid to be alone, so she makes up something to cover that fear. It is pretty typical.

She has a common Christian mind-set. Most people who have Christian faith cannot fathom life without it. I sometimes wonder why they need so much comfort, but to each their own. It's not my path.

Well, You seem to be a sexist, thinking MAN has to take care of her.

There are women Ministers and Women Priests and Women Bishops and they don't seem to need a man to tell them what to do.

Seems to me MEN need WOMEN to tell them what to do more than WOMEN need MEN!

She feels insignificant. She needs a date.

Some people need that kind of comfort...as long as they aren't projecting it onto me I usually don't bother with them.....
