Has anyone taken burpropion AND Chantix at the same time??? Did it work? Do you think it's okay my doctor prescribed me both? I've been on burpropion for 2 months and just started the Chantix today. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The best thing to do in a case like this is to check with your pharmacist. The computer used by your pharmacist can alert him/her to the possibility of a reaction between the two drugs. If that happens, the pharmacist can call yur doctor who can okay another medication, or the pharmacist may be able to substitute a similar but safer medicine, depending on the law in your state. Good Luck in your efforts to quit smoking!

Chantix is a nicotine receptor blocker and bupropion is a medicine used for depression/anxiety. They are totally safe to take together.
By the way, you will be amazed at Chantix. I quit after the third dose, and that was 7 weeks ago. Very few, and fleeting, cravings even after stopping the Chantix. Once the word gets out, this stuff will be in high demand, for sure!
