But can't see this himself I know I can't force him I just want to support him actively just not sure how? have tried looking at websites but he caught me and went troppo any help is appreciated thanks!

he is obviously in denial, you can't do a thing about that.
you need to be sure to protect yourself so you don't fall into his depressive habits. but until he is ready and willing to admit to a problem and get help, there isn't a blessed thing you can do.

Just be there for him. Forgiven and patients.
Knowing that they change their mind like the wind.
One minute they say great let go out and 3 minutes later
they have 10 reason why they can't go out.
Walking is good because it give your body a hormone endorphins

always be there for him and always be positive. try and take him to places and doing things that makes him happy so that his mind will be off of whatever is depressing him. also try and talk to him about whats bothering him, dont get mad that he wont open up to you the first time, it will take time for him to admit anything....just be sure and be there for him and try to make him happy
