maybe we can find something in common

Everyone who reads the bill is against it. I think some of the politicians who are for it didn't even read the whole thing.

It's a horrible bill. It legalizes illegals immediately and requires that those who want to become citizens have to pay fines and go back and reapply. There's no chance anyone is going to bother to become a citizen once they are legalized.

Sadly, unless we continue to show our outrage, the bill may get passed by politicians who no longer seem to care what we think.

The political hacks on both sides support it for their own ridiculous reasons. None of the reasons are logical, it's about consolidation of power and making lots of money for themselves and their special interest cronies.

On an individual level, most normal Americans of moderate political views vehemently oppose the immigration bill, because we're not stupid despite what Ted Kennedy and Dubya might think. Liberal or Conservative, most of us want to see the American way of life preserved and we want a better life for ourselves and our kids. I think you will find a lot of common ground when you discount the ideologues.

We all support the immigration part of the bill. The uproar that has us all mad is the handling and amnesty for the illegals.

A few seem to, but there is a lot of opposition from both sides. The opposition is for different reasons however.

I feel this bill praises illegals and punishes legal citizens. I am so tired of the B.S. I just wish something RIGHT and FAIR (to legal citizens) would be done.

I'm still advocating that illegals be imprisoned, but I have also seen many of them complaining over this bill, so for now I will take satisfaction in their being annoyed. Mwahahaha!!!
