My husband and I both have colds, and I feel like it is not the right time of year to be sick. Anyone know if it's normal to hvae a cold in June? The weather has been changing drastically, and I'm wondering if it's maybe because of that?

colds happen year round. weather has nothing to do with it.
the viruses that cause colds are caught simply by touching something that someone else with a cold has touched and then touching your face. you can find cold viruses on shopping cart handles, store door handles, any public surface. And they are present year round. The key to avoiding colds is to avoid touching your face without first washing your hands. many stores now provide sanitary wipes at the door, use one to wipe the grocery cart handle and your hands, use one again when you leave, keep soom in your car and a bottle of hand sanitizer in your purse. be diligent about hand washing and you won't get another cold.

Yes colds are common all year round. They are caused by virus's. Summer colds always seem to be the worst and last the longest. Maybe that's just because it is summer and we want to feel good and take advantage of the nice weather. Sinus infections are also common all year. I work for an allergist and we have had so many patients this spring with sinus infections. The best remedy is to drink lots and lots of fluids, try to get extra rest and use over the counter decongestants and throat sprays to help with the symptoms. If it doesn't go away in a week to ten days you may have the more serious sinus infection and may require antibiotics to get over it. Get well soon!

you probably don't have cold I am not sure where you are from but my Dr. told my son that this is the worst allergy season in 25 years even if you have never suffered from allergies before, they can start effecting you later in life I never had a problem w/ mine until I was 22. One thing on a side note since you and your husband are both affected together is to check the filter on your A.C. and make sure that your vacuum is working properly, those are some things we had to look at for my son, turned out that his worst problem was the new feather pillows that we had bought

You can get colds anytime, not only when it's cold. It could be from the weather changes that have been occurring in your area.
