What you say sounds resonable (within the context that you have put it in). If there is plurality of gods, and if they are structured in a similar way to earthly families, then there would be grandparents in heaven, as well as other relations. Unfortunately, you will never be able to seriously discuss these kinds of questions freely with higher ranking church officials. The idea of a mother in heaven is a topic that is strenuously avoided, and if that is the case, you certainly would not be able to pose a question that goes beyond that idea.

I have no doubt that we have other family in heaven - who they are and what relationship they are is not important to us for the here and now. Our goal here on this earth is to return to our Heavenly Father. Once we get there we'll have all the answers we need. For now, it's enough to know that we have a Father in heaven that loves us and Jesus Christ to show us the way back.

Being LDS i have had that same question. I was answered once by someone versed in the scriptures that the doctrine of forever families is eternal, meaning that everyone, including God, must be sealed to someone. He is Eternal, as are we. When we die, and move one and are sealed to our kids and our parents, and they are sealed and we have the opportunity to inherit all that God has, we will become God, and we have grandparents who will be Gods. Its an eternal doctrine that not many understand. Keep searching !!!

I think if Heavenly Father wanted us to think about, worship, and revere them, He would teach us to do so. Many other people have written good answers on why this might not be the case.

If we were to have anything to do with any Heavenly Mother, or Heavenly Grandparents, God our Heavenly Father would have told us, and He has never said anything about any of them. So, we don't worry abouto them, we don't worship them, we don't have anything to do with them, at least, not in this place and time.

Joseph Smith never addressed this issue, he says Elohim had many wives on a star called kolob, but he never talked about Elohim's family that was forever. I guess Joseph Smith never filled in the blanks for that. What about Elohim's geneology, you would think Joseph Smith would have provided mormons with his ancestry if it was so important for humans to know theirs. He never explains how Elohim goes to see his mom and dad and what star or planet they live on and if it is in this universe or another dimention.

How can you teach calculus to a baby?
How can you know the universe if you can not even understand the earth you live in?
How can you love God that you do not see, if you don't even love your neighbor?

We don't have a heavenly mother, grandma or grandpa, that is not Biblical. My earthy grandparents are in Heaven, as they were saved.

i think you need to worry about your life and whether you are living the simple doctrines we have here on earth rather than getting your hands dirty in deep doctrine- I mean theology is already a theory....do we need to delve into things that are beyond our understanding if we still fail at the simple terrestrial commandments???
ie do not take God's name in vain..
do not commit adultery etc..
