I took a small piece of siding from a hidden area, as well as paint chips from the shutters, to Home Depot in order to decide on a new color for the rest of the trim and front door.

get a good size piece of paint off the area that you want to match. the size of a fingernail will do. Take the piece to home depot or another paint store. Their machine will analyze the color and match it for you. Not a problem.
