Because they don't know that Jesus was a strict vegetarian and also had his disciples vow to be vegetarian. He also taught karma and reincarnation. King Constantine had all of this removed from the Bible,it was easy to do back then because only the higher ups in the church and government gad copies, and women couldn't read. For info google gospleofthenazirenes.com The Gospel Of The Nazirenes is the original New Testament before king Constantine changed ti.

I'm a Christian and I do not eat pork anymore.

Leviticus 11:7  And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be clovenfooted, yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you.

This is why I don't eat pork. Same for many practicing Jews.

GOD bless

Many Christians cite Peter's vision in the New Testament as a reason for eating pork. In that vision, Peter was offered many types of so-called "unclean" animals, and he refused to eat them. But then he was told not to call what God had made unclean.

Christians feel as though they're exempt from Abraham and Moses' laws. Personally, I stay away from pork anyway (I'm not Christian but am from a Christian family). It's not healthy, and I tend to believe that God is right on this one.

Well so do atheists but thats besides the point. Jews and Muslims still believe they are under the Law of Moses but Christians believe they are not to some extent. Also Jesus said whatever goes in a man does not make him unclean but only what comes out of him

"What goes into a man's mouth does not make him 'unclean,' but what comes out of his mouth, that is what makes him 'unclean.' " Matthew 15:11

Because they were able to get more pagans to convert to Christianity by allowing things that were part of pagan culture. This is why Paul had his 'vision'.

They live by the old law which leads to death. We live for Christ which leads to everlasting life. God has told us not to call anything He made unclean. So we obey God.
