I once read if you are craving sweets, then the body is low on protein. So I have almond milk and it is more satisfying and holds out longer than if I were to reach for sweets.

Almond Milk:
1/4 cup raw almonds
1 cup water
2 teaspoons maple syrup
Blend almonds well in blender, then add remainder items. Maple syrup is the real maple syrup, not the pancake maple syrup in the grocery stores. This is so delicious.

Milk -- and if you are really craving sweets, add a tablespoon of chocolate syrup to make chocolate milk.

Frozen ripe bananas. (Peel the ripe banana, wrap it in plastic wrap, then freeze for at least three hours. Frozen berries work really well, too -- just remove the inedible parts before freezing.)

Orange-pineapple sherbet (take a can of mandarin oranges and a can of pineapple, run through the blender, then run through the ice cream maker).

Whole wheat bread with a tiny bit of butter and a bare sprinkling of cinnamon and sugar.

Hope that helps! Gum, and brushing your teeth are also supposed to help.

Depends what sort of diet you're on. Low fat, low carb or just healthier? It's very hard to go wrong with fruit and vegetables: berries, celery, they can be little snacks, or just bigger pieces of fruit. You can put light peanut butter with the celery. Also packets of dried fruits, and nuts. Sunflower seeds, peanuts, cashews, nuts like that, or just a pack of fruit 'n' nuts. Fruit bars. Protein bars if you're into the protein thing. There are some good flavours but make sure it's really high protein and low carb, some of them aren't. You could make little ice cubes out of fruit juice. Bananas and oranges are nice frozen too. Or make your own sort of oatmeal biscuits (although these are a bit fatty).

Fruit and peanut butter. There is fat in peanut butter, but it's not empty calories. It has protein which will help you build muscle to burn fat. If you crave sweets, you shouldn't substitute with artificial sweets or completely deny yourself. Just eat your sweets in moderation. If you deny yourself completely eventually you'll "fall off the wagon" and eat an entire box of Little Debbies. Just watch your caloric and fat intake and exercise. Good luck.
