No.
But your question is flawed, if it refers to the bill which is currently in the Senate. As stated in the bill, only those illegals who CHOOSE to become actual citizens are required to pay the fine, go back to their country of origin, and go to the back of the line to begin the citizenship process. Given these conditions, how many illegal immigrants are really going to do this? Not many; after all, once W signs this thing, they will all be "legal" immigrants with their z-visas; and since the government isn't exactly enforcing the expiration dates of current visas, what makes anyone think that they will actually start with these?
And yet they claim this is not amnesty.

Yes.
I think this is the most responsible way to deal with the situation. We don't have the resources to round up all the illegals and deport them. So we give them all an opportunity to come out of the shadows, pay some hefty fines, go back to the end of the line. The money we get from the fines will help to fund the processes involved in hunting down the rest of the illegal and potentially dangerous immigrants.
There is no easy solution. We messed up... letting them get away with this for so long. An honest mistake. Lets move on though. This current bill focuses primarily on securing our borders and I think we can all agree on that as the most concerning issue to be addressed.

No! They are not needed to do the jobs most Americans wont do. They just do those jobs at a lower wage than Americans will do. I would pay more for my goods if I knew the money was going to legal citizens.

No illegal aliens should not be punished other than to be returned to the border. This can be simply achieved by establishing onerous fines and stiff jail terms on anyone who employs someone who is in the country illegally. It would only take a few months to clear up the entire issue if a few CEO's went to jail and the jail was a nice Federal facility on the island of Cuba.

No. Your idea that most Americans won't do this work is not true. If farmers could afford to pay a decent living wage, there would be plenty of Americans willing to work outside instead of in a stuffy cubicle.

I say illegal immigrants are a disgrace, I believe that if you want to be in the country so badly, you can make it in Legally, all you have to do is speak English, and have an education, followed by signing some papers. 4 of my friends are Naturalized citizens, and I tell them that I am proud of them, as they came in the country legally...

Heck no and nobody seems to want to stand up against this. I like what Tom Tancredo during the CNN debates. He has no chance of becoming president though.

no, they should be deported back to their home country and file the papers they need to and wait it out until they are able to get back in. The people who did everything by the book legally should be the first to get into the country.
