Older teens and adults can most likely take Piers criticism but I am watching it right now and he is being so mean to the little ones. I understand he is being honest but shouldn't you be different with the little kids?

If you were talking about the little cheerleader, then he wasn't directing to her. He was directing it to the mother, which is okay. He saw that her mother put her through all of that, and obviously didn't agree. I don't either. You could tell that her mother pushed her through. A nine year old should not have that much make up and a bad hairstyle like that. The girl did not put the make up on herself, let alone that heavily. So, no he is being honest. Which is what the show needs if they have David on there, just being silly. Oh, the large family was another one. Yes the adults were good, as he stated, but the little kids hopped out there and couldn't even hold the bow, let alone actually play the song decently. People throw the children in there to make the act look cute and make the judges feel like they can't disappoint the little ones. i feel that Piers has just over come that factor of pitty and is now an honest judge. After he and Sharon had the blow up and walked off, he did come back and was definitely more considerate and was not as harsh. To end this, he is doing his job, and has really actually changed.
There. Sorry for the spiel. British guys are cool, by the way.
I just went on the website and was reading his biography. In 2006 he launched first news, a news paper for children to educate them on social and political matters. HUH?!?! FOR CHILDREN!!!!!!!!!! He also founded the "Pride of Britain Awards", which honors everyday people for great things that they do for the world. Piers really is not a mean and nasty guy, but really sounds quite nice.

He is horrible and should not be allowed to be such a jerk! Are all British men always so cold and heartless? America's Got Talent (Piers), American Idol (Simon ), Dancing With The Stars (Len). Whats up with these guys anyway? Go get another job or quit being such a rude disgusting jerk!

Too Harsh! Used to be in theatre, and had to handle rejection. But if I had someone speak to me that way I would never had even attmepted it again.

Too mean and since he has children I have to be even more severe against him. The man is just being an a**.

I think so. One of the little girls looked like she was about to cry! I know I would if he was being that harsh on me.....

It was planned and broadcast intentionally to generate publicity. It's not better to lie to the kids whose performance sucked just because they are kids.
