The bird is still alive under an incubator but it has a large fleshy member kind of like a placenta or after birth. I need to know what to do. Is this normal? Did I do something wrong?

It more than likely is a bit of yolk sack, in which case it will disapear on it's own. However, you can occasionally get a herniated duck. This is when a small bit of intestine pushes out of the abdominal cavity. If the spot swells or doesn't go away in a few days, then it may need a vet visit. It's just a simple matter of pushing the herniated intestine back in and sewing up the section of muscle that allowed the intestine to push through.

Nearly all birds are hatched with some sort of yolk sac remaining. This is normal! Don't do anything to it. The duck will use up the remaining nourishment in the yolk and it will go away on it's own. It probably won't eat during this time, but keep food and water out for the little guy anyways.

This would probably be what's left of the yolk sack. Leave it alone. Should come off by itself, unless you opened the egg before the little one was supposed to hatch, in which case it may not survive, as its not ready to eat anything yet.
