Good ole hater Jerry -- said time and time again that he would be taken up in his lifetime as part of the "rapture" -- he said it repeatedly, as if it were fact, like all the rest of the bible prophecy he ranted about. And, guess what. He died. No rapture, Jerry. Just a void where, before, stood a staunch hater of many Americans.

But WOW. Look at the videos of him, they're all over the internet. He stated that as a fact, many times -- he would go up in the rapture. Jesus told him in visions it would happen! He witnessed it!!

Sayng all the usual buzzwords/nonsense that people use here in Y!A when they talk about bible "facts" and being born again and being possessed by the "lord", etc.

It makes you wonder -- what other "tidbits" are Jerry and his followers wrong about?

LOL. Maybe he was raptured, and the rest of us all weren't.

He offended pretty well everyone with his hate rhetoric.

The hardest part about prophesy is determining whether it is really from the Lord or if it is a "want". People make mistakes all the time. Unfortunately it opens the door to criticism from those who are looking for excuses to ridicule.

Just as a small aside, speaking against something that is wrong does not constitute hate. Hate is irrational and often based upon lack of information and wisdom. It's a purely selfish emotion. This tendency to label it "hate" when someone speaks out against something unless it's speaking out against Christianity and conservatism is dangerous. One wonders if the people to are stressing this realize it's the same method used by Hitler, communism and several other despotic groups around the globe.

Sheesh, Jesus Christ is the only perfect one.

Why does anyone stupidly expect perfection in a
Christian man or woman, much less anyone else?

Jerry Farwell was human.
He was not infallible, nor are any other humans.

Billy Graham said last week at the dedication of the Billy Graham Library, that when they (the Billy Graham team & son Franklin Graham) first approached him about a Billy Graham Library, he was against it.

He said, "Sounds like a lot of Billy Graham & not enough Jesus Christ. I want no part of that at all. I do not want people to hear the message & to be looking to me or at me as an example of Jesus Christ. I am human & flawed. Only Jesus is perfect and flawless. I want people to see, hear, and look at Jesus...never me. I will and have disappointed myself, my family, Jesus, and people at one time or another in this life. Jesus Christ will never fail us."

But honestly, if everyone were to be completely honest,
whether they are Christians or not, they will admit that they
have made vows (wished for or self-determined) that did not
happen exactly as you vowed if not at all.
