I had 2 teeth extracted on Saturday (so 3 days ago now). It was a very difficult extraction & they did stitch it up. It took approximately 7 hours before it finally stopped bleeding for the most part, than for about another 12 hours it bled very slightly to where I didn't have to keep gauze in my mouth constantly. If I put a gauze pad in my mouth & put it up against the extraction site & hold it there for a couple of seconds than take it out, it has just a very small drop or two of blood, not enough to where I have to keep using gauze though. My pain hasn't increased but hasn't really decreased much, however the dentist said he expected me to be in pain for a while & even gave me some hydrocone today as the ibuprofen 800mg he originally gave me wasn't doing no good & I ran out of those as it was. Since the pain hasn't increased I don't believe I have dry socket. From my last extractions in past I was in pain for about a week. My question is, is the blood drops on the gauze normal?
