its the old story...im friends with a guy,ive known him for about a year...there was no attraction at first other than he was fun and easy to chat to. im not sure how he feels about me.. just silly little things that are making me think......he noticed i had my haircut when no one else did, made a joke about me going on holiday and not to have a "holiday romance"... when i got home he phoned to say he missed me,then asked me if i meet anyone while i was away...we once had a 12 hour phone convo!! when he phones me sometimes he has had a drink ..is this for courage..so he can laugh off his comments and say "oh i was drunk" if i dont say i feel the same... he said he thinks there is more to our relationship than just friendship.....dont want to let my self fall for a friend cos if im wrong it will make the friendship between us awkward....

This is clearly more than a nibble. This must be played with kindness and steadiness. I personally would keep an eye on his drinking. (That is just because I have been sober for twenty years and rather enjoy being so.) Otherwise, this looks like something kind of fun in the offing. You have to get to know someone well enough so you will also be able to know your feeling about the whole thing. You are virtually half-way there when you posted your question above.

its a hard one because i kind of have the same problem but stuff has actualy happened with me and my mate but the best thing to do is just see how it goes and don't get your hopes up too much... if hes going to tell you he will just give him a bit of time hes probably worried about what you are going to say and if you can still be friends if it dosen't work out

OF COURSE you want love interests to be your best Friend. I don;t know WHO the heck started the nonsense that you'll ruin the friendship if you get serious. That's the exact ones we SHOULD be serious with!

Go bay! Get him!
