I don't know about this one. I have actually been held up twice. The first time the dude actually shot at me while I was in my truck, but I got away. The second time a dude came up to me at the gas station pump and put a gun to my head, but i ran away and he luckily didn't shoot. Both times the guys were caught because I found police officers in a reasonable amount of time. It was probably best I didn't have a gun, although i have been contemplating gettting a revolver. A ruger 357 is a tough temptation.

To save yourself from an attacking animal/person go with a Gun ..... and then pray for forgiveness ......Because only God can save us from what Waite's us after our time is up here on Earth and all that attacks us from day to day may not be as obvious as say a madman but God helps protect us from what we may not know we need protection from ....... That "H" guy answered this the best in my opinion.

Well, I think we should all take personal protection on ourselves. I think the best thing we could do is pray to God to keep us from having to use our guns. Maybe it would be a combination of both. Let God lead us in knowing when to use the firearm if no other choice is there.

Good Luck & Happy Shooting !

A gun might protect you in some situations but without God you will enter a place not even a gun will help you. the difference between death and everlasting life can not be gotten with a gun God is your only true protection for life.

One of my sergeants once asked me if I believed in God. I replied, "Sarge, if I didn't believe in God I could never put this uniform on, wear this gun and patrol the meanest streets of this City or any other city." That was fifteen years ago. THAT is as true today as it was then.

So now I ask you: "What kind of question is this: 'Now (a)days, what's better protection; God or a gun???'" If one answers, 'a gun,' then it can be assumed that gun owners are god-less infidels; if one answers "God," then we can be accused of hypocrisy for possessing guns when God is all we need.

God gives us our life and offers us Salvation but remember, we got ourselves kicked out of Paradise. So now we need our guns to keep food on the table, keep the wolf at bay and defend us from two-legged predators.

Not a fair question. A diety vs. a tool. Even compairing different tools is not a fair accessment. If asked which is more important a fire extinguisher or a seat belt? It would depend on what you needed it to do. My seat belt wouldn't help me if my kitchen is on fire, and a fire extinguisher isn't going to help me if I get hit by a 92 y.o., legally blind drunk driver. A gun is a tool I rely on to protect me and my family. My God is my saviour, he is my protector, and my salvation. He helps me with keeping my moral compass pointing in the right direction, He comforts me when I am ill, He listens to me when I need to talk, He provides for me and my children.

A gun is better protection, 'cause if you meet God...you are already dead!

God created man equal - Colt, Smith & Wesson, Sig Sauer, [etc.] keep it that way. So praise the Lord and pass the ammo.

Pray that you never have to use a gun in self defense, but if you do pray that your action is swift and accurate, and that God has mercy on your attackers soul.
