I am 63 years old, and the one way I lose weight is to walk quite fast around the neighborhood for about fifty minutes every single day of the week. I discovered this recently, and for me, it really works. It is not everyone's cup of tea, which brings me to you. You need to (1) Ask yourself how important it is to you to actually lose the weight (2) Consult with your family doctor for guidlines, so you do not lose too much weight, which could cause more problems than being overweight and (3) when you have asked your doctor, I would strongly encourage you to find a close friend who also wants to lose weight and the two of you can do this together in a kind of program you both honor. I hope my thoughts help you find a good way to move toward a weight that is healthful for you and also realistic. Good luck to you and whomever you find as your partner in this program. Best to you from Chris, in South Portland, Maine, U.S.A.

Here are a couple things you can do. Choose healthier food options (more fresh fruit and veggies, less fried food, less sugar, more lean meat, more whole grains, etc.) Make sure you're eating enough and make sure you eat a balanced combination of foods. Also get out there and move. Is there any sort of sport you like or some sort of activity? Go for a bike ride or do some yoga. What about getting together with some friends at the beach for a game of volleyball? Be creative. And have fun with it. If you are still concerned about your weight, please talk to your doctor, who is qualified to advise someone your age about weight loss.

Right now you must make a conscious effort to exercise more and eat the right foods. Read the labels and eat reduced fat foods.. Limit fast foods. Drink lots of water instead of drinks that have no food value. If you can afford it get a fitness trainer. Start now or you will be much more overweight with each passing year.

Have a look on a BMI chart to see if your overweight for your age and height.
Go to the gym and get them to make you a program and also eat healthily and cut out eating junk. To lose weight you need to consume less calories than you burn. If you still dont lose weight after that then i would go to the doctors for blood tests to rule out any medical problems.

Stay away from all the stuff the you know for a fact are making you gaining weight, or eat them in really limited quantities.
I'm talking about pizzas, soda, ice cream, anything fried, and one important thing: don't eat any food past 9pm.

Just take your time. Your young, but its good to see someone your age thinking about your health. Dont follow the in crowd, dont eat to please other peopl, just do what you know to be true to yourself. It takes time and its gonna be hard, but the bottom line is will power, you dont need that cookie, you dont need that ice cream, dont have it just because others are. And at your birthday, tell whoever you want healthy food instead of fatty food that will stay with you for the rest of your life.

it's not down to you to decide what diet your on, it's down to your parents....tell your parents to stop feeding you junk.....go on a full veg and white meat and fish diet, stop drinking soda or any other fizzy drink that gives you a high, stop sitting by the computer all day and get some exercises.....what you are eating is unhealthy and what you are doing is not enough to make you lose weight....tell them to stop feeding you convenience food....your only 14...and you should NOT be that weight....go swimming or play some kind of sport....but tell your parents that chicken nuggets don't cut it

Just try excercising by doing something you like to do e.g. running, swimming, dancing. Do something fun with your friends to lose weight. But don't overwork yourself. It's ok to set goals, but don't get an eating disorder or something. Remember, you're beautiful no matter what your weight is. Good luck!

There is a simple equation
Eat less calories + move more = weight loss
IE Burn more calories than you consume
Far better to stop worrying about your outward beauty, beauty comes from within in, all shapes and sizes!
