There are 4 stages of cancer. Stages: I, II, III and IV. Stage I is the smallest, stage IV is the highest stage. Stage IV is basically when the cancer has spread to distant sites and multiple sites from the original site. In most cases, this means inoperable. I'm sorry to tell you this. Hopefully it is out of your curiosity and you know of nobody with stage IV.

It means the cancer is probably malignant, doctor will do another biopsy in order to evaluate where the cancer has spread to,
Class 1 Normal
Class 11 Probably Normal
Class 111 Doubtful
Class 1V Probably Malignant
Class V Malignant

Stage IV means the primary cancer has spread to another body part or organ.
Ex: breast cancer that has spread to brain. lungs, bone, or liver.
