Lay flat on the floor (NO PILLOW) on your side with the ear that has the water in it facing down on the floor, it might take a little bit of time but eventually gravity should take over and the water will drain out. Call and schedule an appointment woth your dr. to make sure its not in your inner ear if this does not help. good luck!

Using a hair dryer on heat yet not blowing directly into the ear is an old style remedy for an ear ache (usually from infection or cold though!).
To relieve water in the ear try laying on that ear with a towel and "popping" your ears (hold the nose/ and or blow up a balloon or blow your nose REALLY well).
This may shift the water (which is actually caught in your nasal passage BTW.) You shouldn't have (sorry :( listened to the person who said to try alcohol) although I would be a bit concerned about the "burning" and pain you experienced - that may be a sign of a deeper problem possibly a cut from trying to clean the water out? - if the "drowned" feeling persists more than about 36 hours - I would recommend calling a public health person.

ok put a lil warm water on the palm of your hand but not alot just enough to get it wet then use your hand like a plunger wile tiping your head on the side this remede always works for me but if it dose not work then in the bath or in the pool put your ear in the water for a few secs and it sucks the water out this is what works for me and if it still dose not work just sleep on that side and you could try putting a heating pad under your head wile laying down on that side for a lil wile but if this dose not work just go to the pharmacey and get swimmers ear ear drops and it will dry the water up well i hope i helped good luck!!

If you continue putting the rubbing alcohol in your ear it should help dry it out... Put in a couple drops then tip your head so that it stays in there for little while... It will at least kill out the infection if there is any ... Take an antihistamine tablet then if you can stand it use one of those severe congestion nasal sprays... All of that together should dry out your ear in no time..

I used to suffer from chronic ear infections and there are 2 things that work... hot water bottle and tylenol. Put them together with sleep and your pain will be gone in no time.

HELLO,
WHEN YOU GET WATER IN YOUR EAR YOU MUST BOUNCE ON YOUR FOOT ON THE SIDE THAT THE EAR IS CLOGGED ON, AND MUST NOT PUT ANYTHING INTO THE EAR CANAL. A NASAL ASPIRATOR BULB USED FOR INFANTS CAN ALSO WORK AS WELL AS A TURKEY BASTER TO PUT SUCTION INTO THE EAR TO DRAW THE WATER OUT OF THE CANAL. IF THESE METHODS DON'T WORK SEE AN ENT DOCTOR A.S.A.P.

Sounds like you could possibly have an ear infection....have you been sick lately...just thought it was allergies maybe....take some Tylenol or something like that...if it isn't better by tomorrow just go into the emergency room....Good luck
