If you put good fruit in a bag with rotten fruit, you'll soon have a bag full of rotten fruit. All fruit gives off a gas as it ripens. This gas encourages further ripening. But too much ripening = rotting. So your suggestion is not a good idea. Just put the good fruit in a paper bag, to contain the gas, and watch it carefully. It will ripen faster that way. (And throw away the rotten ones.)

No. Rotten fruit helps other fruit to go rotten. Certain fruits advance other fruits ripening when placed together. It is all to do with the chemicals release. The best way it to place your fruit bowl in the sun!

Yes. It emits a gas which helps ripen fruit. I believe it is ethylene oxide.

Rotten fruit is breaking down...and it's my guess that the bacteria that is doing it would not do any good for the rest.
