I am in the Navy. It took me 6 months to leave. It all depends on the job that you picked. The reason for that is because the Navy has to have room for in boot camp and in you A-school. If you are in DEP(delayed programed) Talk to you recruiter about geting e-3 before you leave. It is possible because I did it. Any more question just shoot me an email and I will do my best to help.

My husband was in DEP, but it took about six months from the time he signed up til the day he left for boot camp.

Not long at all unless you purposely do the DEP (Delayed Entry Program).

strictlyd ependnant on the A school you get. you don't ship out for Great Lakes until there is a slot opnen for you at your A school.
