Is it hard to learn two languages at once?

I'm learning both Arabic and Spanish... but I have a little bit of a Spanish background (took 2 years in high school). However, i'm taking Arabic without any prior knowledge of it. My question is this: Is it hard to do this? And should I be doing it? Or should I drop one of them (have more knowledge of Arabic now than Spanish)?

actually, no. Someone did a study and found that if she dedicated just one hour a day per language she could learn a few and not get them confused. Just don't intermingle them. set specific time aside for studying spanish and for arabic.

This depends on your linguistic ability. I don't think you'll confuse them as you would if you were studying two Romance Languages together (French, Spanish, Italian). However, only YOU can decide how eager you are to learn both languages and how much time you have to do so. I speak four languages and never found it difficult to study two languages at once, but everyone is different.
