1st or 2nd Simposns seasons?

my Dad wants either one for father's day. which one is better and why?

Season 2 - There are more episodes, and the writers are hitting their stride better, and the cast is more comfortable in their roles. Season 1 is decent, but short and several of the episodes are plain dull. Season 2 is where the show really picked up steam, and 3 - 9 were the golden seasons where the show was top-notch.

Go with Season 2 since season one episodes make the Simpson's look different, but the Season two season is a whole lot funnier than the first.
