The Book was not given to him as a conmplete form. It took 23 years. And Mohammed couldn't write, but he was give the ability to read out. When a verse came to him from GOD through Gabriel...or Gibrael to the muslims(I dont know how you would pronounce the name, or maybe there is a different spelling) Mohammed would read them out to his trusted followers who would write them down. The original book is said to be protected by GOD himself...and it is in his real called Laohee Mafuz.

"Bismillahirahmaniraheem".
"In the Name of God , the Most Merciful and Most Compassionate".

The Holy Quran was sent in the form of a "Resonance' (better known to man as a vibration) through Archangel Gabriel from Allah to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

I have been known as a chatter box, so this should suffice.

Alhamdulillah,

After his wife died, he got into the way of going off in the desert to pursue a contemplative life. In time, the Angel Gabrial appeared to him and gave him the passages of the Koran. He wrote down what he was told, and these comprise the book. They were compiled not in the order they were received but according to length, the sortest first, the longest last. It is said to represent very beautiful Arabic, just as Luther's translation effected written German and the King James translation still affects the English language.

I think that this is all correct, but you better ask around further.

The Muslims believe that. Actually Muhammad started it and his followers finished it. It is a bunch of made up stories and stuff borrowed from the Bible and distorted.

No. Just like the bible after the death of the prophet his various students all started to write their own version of the teachings/events. Due to competition and politics various sects arose each following their own interpretation. The two most influential ones left are the suni and the shia interpretations of the profets teachings.

As far as I know the quoran has not suffered as many deletions and editings as the bible, nor as structured reconstructions to support social engineering events.

As with any of these ancient books it is important to realise their dual role. The quoran served both as an amendment to the laws and customs of the arabian tribes Muhammed belonged to and as a record of his spiritual experiences.

Nope. It was written by people. Human beings. Anyone who says otherwise is selling something.
