best 2nd language is spanish. It is also the most useful, I think, out of all the languages to learn.

My primary is English. Best 2nd language would probably be Mandarin because I'm now studying in a Chinese environment. I can also speak Hokkien. My mum can speak even more languages including Malay, Indian, Chinese, English, Cantonese and so on. By the way, no one can beat the minister mentor of S'pore. He can speak 21 languages.

My second best language would have to be English. Primary is Filipino, and tertiary is Chinese plus the dialect Fukien. Spanish I learned in college but I can barely decipher it now, were it not for certain similarities that it has with root English words.

English of course. The most useful so far. BUt...that may be coz' I hardly ever have the chance to speak any other... My french is still begginers french because of that. ..I wish the American continent had more languages. My primary is Spanish

Spanish. I also studied French and Latin (language of the Romans) but do not practice them nearly as much as Spanish since my wife and many friends are Hispanic.

Well American is what I use the most...since it combines all the languages. Then English...and then Spanish.
There is a huge difference between American and English.

Italian is my second best but more interested in Greek so soon that language will be mu second best. I am doing well with it now.
