I have an older computer running on Windows ME and I'm gonna get a better one with XP on it. But I want to get all my valuable information such as songs, pictures, etc. and I don't have a CD burner so how do I transfer all that. And there is alot of pictures and songs. Is is possible to take a CD/DVD burner and put it from one computer into another then back into the original?

You can get it all accomplished on one shot with a transfer cable. This is the best price I've seen so far.

Yes it is. You can also use a floppy disk or a flash disk to transfer your data to your new computer. Microsoft has a Files and Settings Transfer Wizard which allows you to move data files and settings between two computers. It works on both old and new computers. It isn't as hard as it sounds. Here's the Microsoft website for more detailed instructions: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/setup/getstarted/bott_fstw.mspx

actual, you have 2 techniques(or 3): a million) take the tensechronic out and positioned it into yet another laptop to repeat the archives to a USBchronic, so which you would be able to reproduction them to the recent laptop once you're arranged. 2) get an exterior video demonstrate and plug it in to the pc. you could activate an exterior video demonstrate. All laptops have the plug so which you would be able to run the pc with an exterior video demonstrate quite than the pc demonstrate screen. then you definately can reproduction all your archives to a USBchronic so which you would be able to reproduction them to the recent laptop once you're arranged. 3) take the pc to a working laptop or laptop technician and have them backup focused archives to a DVD. observe: courses should not be copied from one laptop to a various; they might desire to be put in new on the recent pc. purely your individual picture archives, archives archives, any report you have created might desire to be copied and back to the newchronic this variety. cw
