you want to attempt to describe those scriptures- Ephesians a million:10-13 a million Corinthians 11:11 Mark 10:2-9 Matthew sixteen:19 Ecclesiastes 3:14 So in reaction specially to Matthew 22:29-30 seem at Jesus' reaction in context. he's answering a query approximately marriage and the resurrection posited with the aid of a team that would not even have self assurance in a resurrection — The Sadducees. whilst cutting-edge critics invoke this reference they commit the comparable errors that the Sadducees fell into whilst they asked Jesus, and chided them that they "do err, no longer understanding the scriptures, nor the technique of God." right this is why it would not disprove eternal marriage. First, the Sadducees are inadvertently acknowledging eternal marriage with the aid of asking "who's spouse will she be in the resurrection?" this means that there replaced right into a already a coaching on the time concerning couples residing as husband and spouse in the resurrection. 2nd, after Jesus tells them they do no longer comprehend, He explains that once the resurrection no person will marry, nor settle for in marriage. In different words, men won't get married, and ladies persons won't settle for in marriage. What Jesus reported is honestly actual. there'll be no marriages performed in Heaven and no person would be getting married the two. even although!! He would not say that folk married and sealed in the previous the resurrection won't stay as husband and spouse. He merely reported they gained't be getting married. He reported no longer something approximately them being married already. eternal marriage is a priesthood ordinance that would desire to be performed in the international. After the resurrection, people who weren't sealed with the aid of the priesthood will grow to be angels under God in between the decrease glories or kingdoms, (the two the Terrestrial or Telestial). So i'm no longer even stating the substitute the language or the misinterpretation of the numerous translations of the bible. even although, i come across it ridiculous which you would be able to pick to forget approximately approximately a misguided translation just to hold on your factor. it incredibly is what I call a desperate attempt to hold to a doctrine. it fairly is stated as lack of wisdom. and you return to a selection to advance context. As I reported in my rationalization, make certain you recognize the context in the previous you argue it.

Might I suggest going to www.lds.org or www.mormon.org. If you are truely looking for answers they will provide better answers than what I could give you in a short statement. We justify such a belief by claiming a belief in modern day revelation, and thus the addition to the scriptoral record beyond simply the Bible. In our modern revelations (The Doctrine & Covenants) the principle of Eternal Marriage is outlined.

Pusherhombre speaks with forked tongue. The Docterine and Covenants and The Pearl of Great Price ARE available for public consumption and veiwing. You can get those along with a Book of Mormon by asking any missionary, or contacting the LDS church. Go to www.mormon.org

Jesus told Peter that Peter was a prophet (received revelation from God, the rock that the church was built on) and that what ever he bound on earth would be bound in heaven.
The only source that Christians have fo their side is when Christ was tlaking to the Saducees, who didn't believe in the resurrection, asking Him about who would a woman be married to in the resurrection. Since they didn't believe in the resurrection, then they would have no incentive to seal anyone for time and all eternity. Jesus told them that, IN THE RESURRECTION, there would be no MARRYING or GIVING IN MARRIAGE. But that does NOT mean no one will be married.
If marriage is dissolved at death, then why get married at all? Or, why care who you get married to? I mean, if you really lovoe someone, why would you want to be without them in heaven? Why have children?
That doesn't sound like a heaven I want to go to. Or a god I would want to worship, who takes my family away from me and tells me I'm happy!

Yes we do think that. For scriptural references we think Jesus gave Peter the keys, ST Matthew 16:19 and that includes binding marriage in heaven. We think that those keys were lost when Peter died and they never got passed down to another prophet. We think that Jesus has restored those keys and we may be sealed in the temple once again.

Yes, we do. I can't think of any scriptures off the top of my head but most of them are in the Book of Mormon, as opposed to the Bible.
It makes sense doesn't it. Why would the most holy of ordinances that God created, not be eternal?

Marriage signifies conjuction of man with God. A man (predominantly truth oriented) and a woman (predominantly good oriented) together make a marriage. Since we make all our spiritual choices here on earth, that is what is meant by "neither married nor given in marriage".

They do indeed. Mormons have several books that define their beliefs of which only the Book of Mormon is made avaialable to the public. Book of Mormon has no major beliefs or doctrines that differ from Christianity, but the Doctrine and Covenants and the Pearl of Great Price will preach what the church really believes and practices. These are not for public consumption and reading.
