OMG!
I DID NOT LIKE THE RESULTS OF THIS DRUG. IT IS AN SSRI- IT DOES EFFECT YOU IN WAYS THAT CAN BE VERY ADVERSE.
I WILL NEVER EVER NEVER TAKE ANYTHING THAT IS SO MIND ALTERING AGAIN! IN FACT, LSD WAS BETTER THAN THAT.. LOL ( AND I DID NOT LIKE THAT TRIP EITHER!)

I also had a bad time when put on zoloft...but some people I know did and do well on it. Certain meds aren't right for different people. I noticed a change right away...I know you are a male but for me as a female it made me moody and I cried all the time and could not make up my mind about the least little thing. I told my doctor and he took me off of it right away. Depending on how you feel now and i am not sure if your stress levels are fine now...you may try to ask the doctor for something just to take the edge off, but zoloft is definitely not your kind of med. You know that some of the EDD ex. viagra or levitra meds can make a male last way longer than even a normal ejaculation ....i am not trying to be funny it really is true and that would certainly make you more self assured of this problem you are having is only a temporary one. Hope this helped. You are too young to have to worry about such a condition also you need to go a little deeper into why you feel you are schizophrenic we can never really diagnose ourselves. I found out I was bi-polar many years ago and have maintained a very normal lifestyle since.

I took it for a couple months, but in that time it did nothing. I had no side effects, but it didn't help my depression at all either. Everyone reacts differently to psychiatric medication, so there are some people who benefit from Zoloft.

when i took zoloft
i got an initial "high" off of it
eventually that wore off
and all the zoloft did was make it hard to sleep
thus making me more depressed

now i am taking a low dosage of zoloft along with two other medications
and it seems to be working

I was on zoloft beginning at 50mgs this was okay but then it increased to 100mgs and I went off the show, lost contact with reality and was admitted to hospital.

However it works differently for different people.

I have to agree with those who didn't care for it. It made me speed way too much. I know it was 'lifting' me out of the depression, but I didn't need to be YANKED out of anywhere. And with mania lurking around in the background I decided I was better off crying in my beer (kidding). Effexor left me feeling the same way pretty much. Seems like 50mg isn't quite enough and 51 sent me into orbit. Lots of luck to you . . .

It is helping me with my depression. I really don't feel any differently, but I don't cry at the drop of a hat anymore. Good Luck.
