Given that he's supposed to be omnipotent, do you think he would have known ahead of time that Adam and Eve (A&E) would eventually sin? What's the point of free will if everything that will happen, has already happened in the eyes of God?

But that begs the question why he would create humans to be anything but perfect? If you were a parent wouldn't you want perfect children?

Shaolt2002, if I had the powers of God I would create a pet that wouldn't die.

misslilly, that begs the question why does God need love? Is he lonely?

God didn't create humans- that idea came after we'd been around for a while.

We created god(s), not the other way around. But if the new testament god were real then we were created in his image to worship him. So, that means, that god is such a terribly insecure creature that he had to invent humans who are very weak and, sometimes, small-minded creatures to worship him. Sounds to me like the patriarchal thinking of a very human king who would be god.
I'm not saying this to offend the "true believers." Although I use to think differently I now would not try to destroy, change or belittle anyone's belief. Believers need their beliefs and who am I to want to cause them harm. After all, beliefs are opinions. And we all know that opinions are like a**holes; everyone has one and mine only works for me.

We are not the only beings in this universe. GOD allowed these things to play themselves out to show the rest of the universe the effects of sin. Also, life on this planet in the state that it is in, is a "weeding" process to separate the righteous from the wicked.
I cannot necessarily back up anything that I say, however, this is what I heard. It sounds and seems very reasonable as well as plausible. This along with other theories are accepted with "a grain of salt".
GOD bless

Do you have ANY pets? You know they will eventually die. Why do you get a pet if you know it will die??? The day my parakeet died I went and got two more birds. I know they will die someday, but still, being able to see them now and share the day with them, listening to them chirp and quarrel and play with each other..... even though I know someday they will die it is worth it.

Relax, God has a purpose in plan in everything he did, does or will do>you do not understand it now, because you are trying to see and understand spiritual things with physical, earthly eyes and mind. This will not work, Its like trying to mix oil and water,It just won't work.

He made humans to have people to love and be loved by. If we didn't have free will our love for Him wouldn't be freely given. Don't you want someone to love you freely? Would it be love if your wife or other family members or friends had no choice ? He also promised to forgive our sins.

Are you a parent? Would you NOT have a child knowing that he or she would probably stray? Would you blame yourself if they did? When then would you apply this same thinking to God?
