I started feeling a little woozy during first period, but I didn't pay much attention to it. The bell rang, and I went to second period, feeling even worse. It kept getting worse. It got so bad that I was completely unresponsive. Everything kept going blank, and then back to normal within a few seconds. I managed to stay in my seat and pretend to be paying attention, because I knew if I tried to go home, I would have passed out before I made it to the office. I was aware of what was going on, but everything around me felt messed up. I could barely see. It was hard to sit up. I felt like something was pulling me back into darkness, so I subconsciously grabbed onto the desk. I couldn't stop fidgeting, and nearly fell over on many occasions. To avoid having the teacher get mad, I tried to take notes, but now I can clearly see that they are just a bunch of scratches and jumbled letters. It lasted a little over forty-five minutes, but afterward, I felt completely fine. It was one of the scariest things I've experienced, though. I just switched from taking Adderall to Concerta, and I think that might be the problem. I'm still not sure what the hell happened, though, so if anyone has any idea, I need to know.

Oh, my!
This sounds like the reaction my son had to Concerta!
He was very dispondent, disoriented and just totally not with reality! His lasted the majority of the day.
He stopped taking the medicine right away.
He had been on it before and then quit. It was seeming that the results of the med was causing him to not eat and act so differently that I was not satisfied w/ the results.
He then tried strattera and it effected him very terribly. We tried a few months with no meds and went back to Concerta and it effected him so adversely, in the way that you are describing. He felt totally out of reality. He is now on no ADHD meds and is adjusting fiine. He is also 13!
I suggest that the med is not working well with your system.
Tell your parents about the adverse reaction you had. It may take time for you to adjust to the change in medicine though, these drugs- I have never been pleased with for the fact that it is not allowing the person to actually change the way they are, the drugs are.
Good luck to you!

some add meds can cause ticks or fidgeting. i'd talk to the doc.about it. maybe this isn't the right med for you or you just haven't been on it long enough.

I would definitely tell your parents and let them talk to your doctor it may be the wrong medicine for your body chemistry or you may be on a dosage that it too high for your body to function with...best of luck to you...

why are you asking us?

shouldn't you be calling the dr. that prescribed the meds, or did you buy them on the street?
