I'm willing to die as a martyr.

The sad thing is that these types of things has already happened inside the United States. In the state of Missouri, Governor Lilburn Boggs in October 27, 1838 enacted an "extermination order" on the Latter Day Saints. That law was not repealed in Missouri until about the late 1970's - early 1980's, some 140+ years later.

Where did the rights of the First Amendment go?

Alongside this, the first prophet of the Church, Joseph Smith Jr., and his older brother Hyrum, were also killed while they stayed at a jail in Carthage, by a mob numbering at least 150 rifle armed men.

So for this small part of modern christianity, the Latter Day Saints have suffered death and dismemberment by those of other faiths who told them to "abandon the Mormon religion or die", which is another flavor of the command "convert to another religion or die".

So, like the other LDS martyrs before me, I would have to fight to protect not only myself, but for my loved ones and friends who are good Latter Day Saints as well.

With this in mind, we should realistically guess that the Latter Day Saint will bear the brunt of these types of threats, alongside others, while the rest of Christendom gets to deal with spiritual and ethical confrontations.

And that's my two cents'.

Sincerely,
Alvin R.

"Words are carried away by th wind", so yes, I will, but no one will ever be able to change my mind, in fact, the forced convertion will reafirm my own beliefs even more. Forced convertions have no value. People who believe in forced convertions are only showing that they very naive and extremely stupid.

No one could truely "make" you convert as conversion requires change and conviction of heart. I could say the words to appease my captor but it would be so...

The key is not to put yourself in that kind of situation. It becomes way easier that way.
