I suppose it is the same philosophy. Its meant to keep your moral character strong. Many religions have similar aspects as each other the only diffrence is who their God is and how the book ends.

Karma is a fancy word for CONDITIONING -- nothing more, nothing less. And, yes, it does equate w/ 'reap/sow'. All it means is that if you screw up your kids, their conditioning will result in crappy lives (which affect others) [this is how 'karma lasts lifetimes']). If someone gets help or does good, this 'good' karma can remedy the negative crap we do to each other. Deep Enlightenment ends karma/conditioning because the person experiences the illusory nature of the psychological self (once one sees this, there's nothing to be conditioned) -- although, even deeply enlightened people fall back on their conditioning sometimes.

Yes, it's pretty much the same. Except I believe that karma continues on into the next life. Christian's don't believe in reincarnation, so their reaping ends for them.

Yes and no-
Yes, in that both mean that your actions have consequences, but with Karma there is a specific law of the universe that maintains that balance.

Plus, the results of your actions may not occur till a next life.

For example, a woman who was a slave owner and beat her slaves to death may spend her next few lifetimes as a slave who is beaten to death.

Someone who was poor, but did what they could to help others, may in their next life be born wealthy.

Yes it is .But karmas are devided in good & bad ones . If you do somethin' wrong for example breakin' a heart , a bad karma would be registered for you in your destiny and some day you'd face it en vice versa !
KARMA is powerful law .

Yes. Jesus also spoke of doing unto others as you would have them do unto you, another aspect of Karma.

no. it's much much more complicated than (you do bad, you get bad)

yes God will bless His people, but blessings aren't earned. Yes if you are wicked you will recieve judgement. but bad things happen to good people all the time. God tests His children, and it's His job to judge nations who sin. bad things also happen because man is a free agent who tends to prefer evil. bad things also happen because no one but God is perfect.

Somewhat. There's a lot more to it though. www.buddhanet.net for the Buddhist perspective might help, and www.hinduismtoday.com for a nice Hindu perspective.
