You need to have faith and believe in your heart and God will answer your prayers. I'm only kidding I wanted to know what it feels like to be a christian and give ridiculously dumb answers.

wow a mormon proud of his faith. . . Have you seen the south park episode that describes how your amazing religion started? Here's a quote from wikipedia:
According to Latter-day Saint theology, the term "Mormon" refers to a prophet who lived somewhere in the Americas in the 4th century A.D. He is believed to have been called by God to abridge and compile the records of his people and their dealings with God into a single book. His son, Moroni, buried the record, and more than 1400 years later he returned as an angel and led Joseph Smith to the burial place. According to Smith's account, he translated the record into English from a written language he called Reformed Egyptian, into what is now recognized as the Book of Mormon.

Translation: Some guy claimed he found a book and he translated with the help from an angel. Of course this amazing language was "reformed egyptian". Wow. . .so creative. . . .he MUST have been well educated.

Here's a scripture reference I know many people will rally behind:

37 And then Alma said unto him: Believest thou that there is a God?

38 And he answered, Nay.

39 Now Alma said unto him: Will ye deny again that there is a God, and also deny the Christ? For behold, I say unto you, I know there is a God, and also that Christ shall come.

40 And now what evidence have ye that there is no God, or that Christ cometh not? I say unto you that ye have none, save it be your word only.

41 But, behold, I have all things as a testimony that these things are true; and ye also have all things as a testimony unto you that they are true; and will ye deny them? Believest thou that these things are true?

42 Behold, I know that thou believest, but thou art possessed with a lying spirit, and ye have put off the Spirit of God that it may have no place in you; but the devil has power over you, and he doth carry you about, working devices that he may destroy the children of God.

This is scripture straight of the Book of Mormon, specifically the book of Alma, chapter 30, verses 37 through 42, page 283. This volume of scripture has many gems that are specifically created to combat many evils, including the spreading of atheism, and it has been kept and preserved miraculously for this time. We Latter Day Saints hold this up high for all to see, because we know that it, when combined with the stick of Judah, which is the Bible, will destroy false doctrine, including the belief that there is no such thing as God (see Ezekiel 37: 16).

You should never really want to force God to prove to you that He exists. Condemnation and everlasting pain and misery can only be the result, nothing lesser.

That is why we send out missionaries, two by two. We desire as many as possible a chance to avoid such a fate, because this time is the time for men and women to prepare to meet God.

Sincerely,
Alvin R.

Well God and religion is all about believing. Unlike science, it's not knowing, but believing. You cannot prove He does or does not exist. To some it's just a dumb belief but to others like myself, God is alive in our hearts.
