I'm 14 and my boyfriend is turning 18 in August. He always says age is just a number, and is the sweetest guy on earth! He always makes sure that he isn't pressuring me and never wants me to feel uncomfortable. Every girl in my family goes for older guys (on my mother's side, her and my dad are 13 years apart). Is it normal?

This is not going to be what you want to hear. At 14 a bf of 18 is too old for you. An 18 year old guy should be looking for females his own age, that do things that 18 year olds do. If he isn't, it may mean that he can't get girls his own age to date him. Or he may like very young girls because they don't have the life experience and that makes him the great teacher or worse. You need to date guys your own age because you have lots to learn and you want to do it on your own schedule. I know you think it's great an older guy likes you but he is taking advantage of you in every way possible. That's why they passed laws to keep older men from young girls (or vice versa). You've already talked about sex because he "isn't" pressuring you. If he touches you, he needs to go to jail. He is a pedophile.
Please find someone younger and never let anyone pressure you into anything. Take your time.

its not big deal. i mean when he does turn 18..then you are a minor. but, it happens all the time. dont care about what other people might think. if you like him and know hes a really great then go for it. age differences might sometimes have issues but, if you really like each other then it'll work out. so i hope things go well for you. but, make sure you trust him. because he will be 18..and you are only 14. so he might be more experienced and everything. and right now he says he wont pressure you or do anything to make you uncomfortable. but you never really know. but good luck with that.

My entire family goes out with people who are older than them. it didn't really matter to them what their age was just that they had feelings for each other. My friends parents are 6 years apart but they love eachother. Love is never normal, and if u want to be with him the age doesnt matter.

Yes, it is normal for young girls to be attracted to guys who are somewhat older, even a lot older. However, a relationship between the two is difficult because society does not accept it. It is seen as inappropriate, you know.

I feel ya! my boyfriend n i r 3yrs apart he's 15 n im 12 he jus started 9th grade n i jus started da 8th grade. but ne wayz dats very normal b cuz now days most gurls lik older guys n my parents also r more than 10 yrs apart.

No! Especially since you're a minor. It's extremely against the law. If he has sex with you, he' face 20 years in prison! Technically, in the eyes of the law, this makes him a pedophile.

yes this is OKAY & NORMAL cuz me & my bf we are 7 years apart i am going to be 26 in july and he just had his birthday in march he is 32 well he could be old enough to be my father well i do call him daddy for kindness and he calls me mamma for kindness too
