Basically just two: love God with all your heart, mind and strength; and love your neighbor as yourself.

All the other requirements flow from or explain what that means or how to carry it out.

There are many "purity" laws in the OT that were designed to remind them of the seriousness of sin and their unique relationship with God. That was the purpose of the "no shrimp/no mixed fabric" sorts of laws.

Everything Christians are required to do can be summed up in loving God and loving others.

The Ten Commandments are ten laws in the Bible that God gave to the nation of Israel shortly after the exodus from Egypt. The Ten Commandments are essentially a summary of the 600+ commandments contained in the Old Testament Law. The first four commandments deal with our relationship with God. The second six commandments deal with our relationships with one another.

There are over 600 Levitical laws and 10 Commandments in the Hebrew Scriptures. But I think Jesus sums it up rather nicely at
Matthew 22:36-40

36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” 37 He said to him: “‘You must love Jehovah your God with your whole heart and with your whole soul and with your whole mind.’ 38 This is the greatest and first commandment. 39 The second, like it, is this, ‘You must love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments the whole Law hangs, and the Prophets.”

"the place precisely in Bible verse and financial disaster does it say you are able to desire to make a lot of those human beings "SAINTS" ? " The Catholic Church preceded the Bible, no longer any incorrect way around. the 1st Pope replaced into Peter the apostle and what Jesus taught him and his 11 friends is what grew to grow to be that doctrine of the Catholic Church. (no longer all Catholics are "Roman Catholic" yet I won't get into that, you are able to seem it up). What Jesus taught that apostles replaced into surpassed down as custom (with a capital "T"). approximately 3 hundred years later the comparable (Catholic) Church that Jesus based desperate what could be blanketed in the Bible. with a view to make a protracted tale short, the Bible isn't the inspiration of Catholic ideals, it fairly is extremely greater or much less some thing corresponding to supplementary documentation that the Church prepare themselves. Do you think of that each and every of the instructions of Jesus made it into the Bible? It did no longer. there are lots of of Catholic web content obtainable that specify the entire saints element a lot greater advantageous than i will. in case you want to verify greater concerning the instructions of Jesus Christ, then merely pass to a valid Catholic internet site that i'm particular could help answer all your questions. As a Catholic I even have under no circumstances heard of having to pay money to having ones sins forgiven. this is merely ridiculous. If it ever did take place (which I doubt) then it would not at present. the entire thought is merely undeniable bunk. in the previous the Church bought indulgences, meaning that they might pay merely before "sinning", yet this is an entire diverse difficulty. Your chum can't get remarried in the Catholic Church because of the fact the Church would not comprehend the divorce; in the Church's eyes she continues to be married, and with that reported her little ones are no longer "B?stards", enormously in the event that they have been born in wedlock. If she had to get remarried in a Catholic church, then she might desire to get an annulment. you will possibly desire to provide up in step with heretical protestant anti-Catholic propaganda and get the authentic data.

I do not know. But His Laws are here to protect us, mainly from each other. We are under the new covenant and the main commandment is to love our Lord, and to love each other.
