Heat your grill until it is HOT! Place chops on the grill and don't move them for 4-5 minutes.
When the juices start to rise to the top, the chops are ready to turn. Turn them over for a minute, or so. Don't overcook them. You can always put them back if they're too pink, but you can't uncook 'em. Let the chops sit for a few minutes. They'll continue to cook a bit. Test the meat with your forefinger. It should be firm to the touch.
Hint: Use tongs to turn the chops, or place the fork at the very edge of the meat so as not to lose the juices.

We only cook on charcoal ( actually Kings ford char-wood to be exact) so we cook over medium coals for 15- 20 minutes per side, checking the last 5 - 10 minutes to see if done. Serve with scalloped potatoes, coleslaw and field peas & snaps.....Plenty of homemade cornbread & sweet tea to go with the meal....Yummy!

6 to 8 minutes each side over direct heat but I would cook em about a 1/2 hour if you can do indirect heat.

depends on if its charcoal or propane
I use propane and it takes about 5-7 minutes per side
it needs to be cooked until it is 160 degrees in center.
