Please god help me beat my fellow human to a lifeless bloody stump.
Or is he praying that it will be a fair fight and no one gets hurt.

I would like to think that they pray that they have a fair fight and that the best person wins....

but with todays sports.... they are probably praying -- please don't let me get caught betting on this fight LOL

Is like athletes who pray before they start a game. They are basically praying for the others to lose so they can win. God doesn't play favorites.

As athletes for Christ we pray for protection, a good time a strong experience and new friends. I don't pray for the competition part just that God allows me to play to the best of my ability.

Depends on who he/she is praying to and what they're fighting... some firefighters might just pray to survive the conflagration they're about to try to put an end to...

BTW, let me take this moment to hats-off to all in the triad, who put their heinies on the edge, ethically for all of us: police, firefighters, EMS. Hats off to the military members while I'm at it...

I have a friend who is involved in MMA and he does just that, so I had to ask what he prays for and his response was "I pray that neither me or my opponent get injured seriously and ask God to bless me and my opponent.
